Last updated August 9, 2026. Sheffield & Co. collects information you submit, public business links, and limited technical data needed to operate and protect its local business assessments and Free Business Checks.

Information we use

We use contact and business information to review the business, prepare and deliver the requested check or assessment, create or update a private lead record, prevent abuse, respond to consultation requests, and improve the service. We may review only publicly available information connected to links you provide.

Security and usage records

For the Free Business Check, we store private submission, processing, viewing, feedback, cost, and upgrade-click records. Rate-limit identifiers are irreversibly hashed before storage. Private result links are not intended to be shared publicly.

Form drafts

While you complete the full audit intake, a draft is stored only in this browser to prevent lost work. It is removed after a successful submission and automatically expires after 24 hours. You can clear it sooner by clearing this site's browser storage.

Reports and retention

Submissions, Free Business Checks, and assessments are private operational records. Private result links are non-guessable and excluded from search indexing. We retain records only as long as reasonably needed for delivery, support, security, and legal obligations.

Service providers and analytics

Hosting, data storage, authentication, bot defense, website inspection, email, AI synthesis, and privacy-conscious analytics providers may process limited data on our behalf. We do not sell submitted personal information.

Your choices

You may request access, correction, or deletion using the contact method displayed by the operator before launch. Some records may be retained where legally required.
